New Skyrail Rainforest Foundation Merchandise

To help raise funds for the Skyrail Rainforest Foundation, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is developing an exclusive range of branded Foundation merchandise.

This exciting new range, which includes t-shirts, polo shirts, caps, backpacks, key-rings and assorted other paraphernalia, has been designed to reflect the iconography of the Foundation's corporate logo.

The Skyrail Rainforest Foundation's logo was inspired by one of Australia's Tropical Rainforests' rare plant species, the Medinilla (Medinilla balls-headleyi). The Medinilla is a rare and threatened plant which is considered regionally significant to Tropical North Queensland: it is only found in the wet lowland rainforests from Tully to northern Cape York Peninsula. Its distinctive berries and leaf are the basis of the Skyrail Rainforest Foundation's corporate logo.

The Foundation's merchandise has been designed to appeal to both men and women. The female collection is predominately white and pink, incorporating the logo's cluster of Medinilla berries. The male collection uses the Medinilla leaf motif as its basis, designed in an eye-catching palette of black, charcoal and taupe.

Skyrail Rainforest Foundation merchandise will be available for sale exclusively through Skyrail Rainforest Cableway's Retail Stores, located at the cableway's Caravonica and Kuranda Terminals.

A percentage from the sale of all merchandise will be donated to the Foundation, to assist it meet its vision of supporting tropical rainforest research and education projects. The merchandise will be available in-store in late 2006.
