A series of exclusive Collector Coins have been developed, and continue to be developed, to assist the Skyrail Rainforest Foundation with its fundraising activities.

The first coin was produced earlier this year and sold through Skyrail Rainforest Cableway’s Retail Stores on a trial basis.

Plated in 24-carat gold, this double-sided coin features the Skyrail Rainforest Foundation’s logo iconography on one side, and a portrait of one of Australia’s Tropical Rainforests’ keystone species, the Southern Cassowary, on the reverse. This attractive souvenir coin comes in a special, protective presentation case.

Following a very successful trial, three more Skyrail Rainforest Foundation Collector Coins are currently being produced.

To be developed and presented in a similar fashion to the original coin, the new designs will feature other iconic residents of the rainforest, including the Lumholtz’s Tree-kangaroo, Ulysses Butterfly and White-lipped Tree Frog.

The Skyrail Rainforest Foundation’s Collector Coins are currently available for sale exclusively through Skyrail Rainforest Cableway’s Retail Stores, located at the cableway’s Caravonica and Kuranda Terminals. It is anticipated that in the future, these coins will also be available through a dispensing machine at Skyrail’s rainforest mid-stations.

Skyrail donates a percentage from the sale of each Collector Coin to the Foundation, to assist it with its vision of supporting tropical rainforest research and education projects.
